Flower girl wanna be, AGAIN??

November 13th is my most awaited day. No...not my delivery date :P It's my very close cousin sister's big day at The Ritz Carlton Hotel. Hahaha, I'm not the big star for the day and yet I'm so looking forward to it. Why? Coz once again, Smellybutt has been selected as the flower girl for that big event. She couldn't make it a year ago, failed to follow proper instruction. And now she has got the 2nd chance to do it! This round, all she needs to do is to walk straight on the isle, hand in hand with Sonia jie jie. Sonia will be in charged to throw the petals. But we are worry that Smellybutt will rebut to do the same too! You know lah kids, don't want to chap shue ma (being left out). Maybe get her a small basket to hold also lah.

Smellybutt will get to wear a dok san deng zhou (tailor made) dress too, same same with Sonia. Dress code lah tu. My cousin memang very geng 1. I foresee that the outcome of her arrangement will be very impressive and will surely give surprises to everyone. She's indeed a very creative person. She even get the hotel to arrange a special table just for the kids with special kiddy meal - mini pizza, etc. And will provide them some coloring tools, just to keep them occupied rather than running around the banquet hall. Good huh? The hotel personnel commented that nobody has ever asked for such arrangement before! So thoughtful of her lah ^_^

Now I really need to get the rehearsal started, even though she has only been tasked to walk straight :P Teacher Nel knew about this and she has told me that Smellybutt really need more practice. Because in pre school, Teacher Nel noticed that she can't seemed to participate well in the sports game, although only asked her to walk straight for a very short distance +_+ Cham lor....looks like she doesn't like to be asked to walk straight huh? Too boring? Not challenging at all? Just a simple instruction and yet failed to obey. But strangely ya, she can handle an I-Phone better than me - the way to unlock the key pad, to choose and play the games she likes from 20 over apps. She can remember each and every steps to activate many different apps. She even asked Ah Yi this, "help me to type my name please" on the score board in the I-Phone so that her name appears in the hall of fame =) But ask her to walk straight, CANNOT! Maybe she has selective hearing :P Only hear and follow whatever pleases her. Tolong lah....just walk only, will ya? This time is for real leh, coz I've already given a piece of Smellybutt's dress as sample for my cousin's tailor to make 1 dress for her. Pray hard no hang char dap chor!

Flower girl wannabe : the worst episode

It's getting out of control....

Sigh...Aunty Dory....I almost give up to live up ur hope. Smellybutt seems to enjoy the rehearsal WITHOUT following my instruction. Hahahaha. This round (could it be the final round??) Popo pretended to be her partner. We thought that by doing so, she would have a better picture of what would take place on the actual day. But we were wrong lah. She couldn't be bothered about Popo walking with her side by side. In the end, in order to empty her basket, she terbalikkan her basket!! Then ran away!!

I noticed that she couldn't do 2 things at 1 time. Either we get her to walk only, or stand there and throw the flower petals onto the floor without moving an inch ^_^ In another word, she is not ready for multi tasking - walk and throw flower petals onto the floor at the same time. Actually Aunty Dory didn't ask for it. I was the one who get Smellybutt to throw flower petals when marching into the hall. I still can't guarantee that she can perform perfectly well even just to get her to walk in without any other stunt. Uwaaa..what talk me?? Everything seems to be a big NO NO. Like this cannot, like that cannot :O

Never mind...we'll be back to Ipoh this Raya holiday. Why not we have another 1 last final round, together with the bride and groom wannabe. Tiga ekor jalan sama sama. Hehehehe...I wonder what will happen. Excited!! I gotto tell Smellybutt about this plan. Must get her ready, mentally and physically.

Flower girl...can ar??

Last Saturday, we went for a relative's wedding dinner at Jalan Imbi. Luckily we left the house quite early as the road was so jam that day. It started all the way from Jalan Kuching right up to Jalan Tun Razak. There was a road block near The Mall. No wonder lah so jam. Coincidently, with all these road block and traffic jam, along the road we saw a few cars broke down and they 'enhance' the traffic at the same time. Adui...what a journey.

I was pretty excited to attend the wedding dinner with Smellybutt. The last round she attended one was sometime in...err....oh gosh, I can't remember. I guess it was during my 2nd SIL's wedding in Ipoh in April 2008. At that point of time, Smellybutt was just 6 month old. Now, 22 month old wannabe, a whole new experience for her and myself! Coz she can talk so much now, asking this and that all the time, compared to her 6 month old age, she only oooo and aaahhh. Hehe, not much pressure at that time.

Everything went well, except during the newly wed couple marched into the dining hall. You know, the lights off and loud music...these are the must do for any chinese wedding dinner. The moment they switched off the main lights and the room became darker (dim light condition), she started to get closer to me and said "mama, aa mo mo liao", means dark already. I said yeah, just for a while only and they will switch on the light again very soon. She wasn't convinced with it and she demanded for the lights to be on!! And then her eyes were flooded with tears liao. I held her tightly and explained to her again that the beautiful bride will walk in soon. I kept reminding her that for aunty Dory's wedding, she will be walking in first while holding a small basket with flower petals in it. She was a bit relieved with it, and I have to add in some story about Ah Jat (crockroach) incident. That finally made her laughed.

So, my previous prediction was quite accurate though, that she will cry for the dim light condition. I'm worry that she might ruin aunty Dory's big day. If Smellybutt can't make it, then she'll call off the flower girl thingy. Oh dear....I really want to make it happen for aunty Dory. But won't put pressure on Smellybutt though. Will just try my level best to coach her. Haha. Coaching konon.

Smellybutt's big gu jeh was even more excited as she called me up last Friday asking for Smellybutt's height. She wanted to buy a flower girl dress for Smellybutt!! So nice of you big gu jeh :) But I told her not to buy any now, as I still do not have the confident that Smellybutt can perform well as a flower girl. More training needed!

3rd update for flower girl wannabe training

I love this round of training. I had switched off the light in the living hall and only leave a small light at the back, just before she would enter from the main door. Make it more like the lighting condition on the real big day. Hahahaha. Oh, I also managed to dig out a smaller basket for Smellybutt. I cut the used straws into small pieces and put it into the basket, just to let her mimic the action of throwing flower petals, gently, onto the floor while walking on the isle. How gentle would it be? See it yourself :)

She took her own sweet time to pick up each of the small pieces of straws and throw them onto the floor, did it all on 1 same spot! Not moving at all until I have to repeatedly remind her to keep walking ahead. Muahahahaaa. I'm looking forward to more training after this. It is getting better, and above all, funnier each round!!

At the end of the video, I was telling her that if she continues to be like that, the bride will run away!
