QQ loves her mei mei very much

So far, QQ has been playing her role as big jie jie pretty well. She sayang her mei mei very much, giving her lots of hugs and kisses till I behtahan! Sometimes overly "yit cheng" O_O Hahaha. Whenever YY makes noises or cry (crocodile tears!!) QQ will rush to YY and say "yes yes..jie jie is here, don't cry". Muahahahaha! As if YY can't live without her jie jie huh :P  Lately she even attempted to carry YY and that really scare me off! 

QQ has been assigned to monitor/detect her mei mei's poo poo action too. Each time YY passes out wind, QQ will quickly go near YY and snif snif her buttock, see got any poo smell or not :P She does it happily though :P 

1 thing which QQ surprised me was she didn't get jealous or angry when friends and relatives came to visit YY with a mini Disney baby hamper as a gift. QQ loves pressie very much. When I open the hampers, she was excited and showed the baby clothings to YY and said " mei mei you see, you got new clothes. yeah!!". Wow....I couldn't believe it. She's indeed a big jie jie already.

But there were times where QQ will merajuk a bit, especially when I was breast feeding YY. Luckily not everytime she merajuk, just once in a while only. 

QQ enjoy herself very much during this school holiday break with us. Too happy and too much of free time until she wanna experience/touch every single thing at home. Despite to our numerous warning/scolding, she happily goes up and down the staircase as she likes,  frequently sneaks into the bathroom to wash hand (play water lah tu), digging drawers and cupboards, and so many other blood boiling activities. Gosh....she really gets into our nerves everyday. After so much of scoldings, she is still repeating things that we don't allow her to do. I really behtahan her already. Sometimes I almost want to smack her. But I end up jentik her fingers instead. Whenever I say "show me your hand" or " do you want me to jentik you?", she seems to be scare of me and quickly stop her disastrous act.

And here's something better she does, i.e. to let her play with MS Words, Paintings and some games on my net book occasionally. After she tried on it a few times, she can control the mouse very well, even manage to move the cursor pointing to some very small icon on the screen efficiently. Good eh =) QQ is a fast learner!

Her joyful holiday will end very soon, coz school will re-open in 1 week +.  My last day of confinement is on 24th Dec 2010, and coincidentally it is  also YY's fullmoon day as well as my sista's birthday! Wowee!! 3-in-1 happy day!! I've ordered Baskin Robbins ice cream cake to celebrate together. This Xmas Eve day is the most happening lah! Can't wait for de day to come.... ;)

Smellybutt turns 3yr old today!!

At 11.58pm, 7th October 2007, I delivered my lil miniature within an hour of labor pain.

And here she is today, my lil Smellybutt turns 3 years old!! Time flies haa....

HubB, Popo, Dun Dun and I went to her pre-school this morning during their snack break for a mini birthday celebration with her. Upon arrival, I saw a big group of students, and I couldn't locate her at first glance! All in uniform, all almost same size when seated....so....my eyes also blur blur oredi :P Padahal, she was seated right in front of everyone else, coz she's the zhu kok today! Hahahaha.

HubB collected these cute cupcakes from my cousin sister's house this early morning. All fresh from the oven at 2.15am!! Poor cousin sister....she took the effort to bake for me even though she had to attend dinner yesterday night.

By 9.45am, we reached the pre-school along with the cupcakes and party packs.

Teacher Nel helped to arrange some of the cupcakes on the table where Smellybutt was seated. If put all cupcakes on that table, for sure the kids will go bizarre (or rather Teacher Nel go bizarre!!) trying to touch the cupcakes. And it happened!! Kids were all so excited lah, even Smellybutt's eyes terbeliak too!

She just love the mini fondant on the stick so much, till she ate 2 of them. At first, I got so worried when I saw the big crowd this morning. I whispered to Teacher Nel that I've only prepared 20 bags of party pack and 36pcs of cupcakes (even though there's only 20 of them in Smellybutt's class). Teacher Nel quietly told me that she just get the 4yr old student to join in, just to make it more "yit lao" (more happening). She will settle with the 4yr old student makan makan later. But somehow, a 4yr old girl finally sobbing at the corner, for not having her share +_+ Teacher Nel said she'll distribute the remaining of the cupcakes to the 4yr old student later in the evening. If she only gave to that particular girl, the rest of the year 4 student will demand for it, and sure kelam kabut later.

As soon as they have finished their cupcake + a bottle of Fernleaf Solivite cultured milk drink, Teacher Nel ushered the 4yr old student back to their classroom. Then Smellybutt started to give out the party pack to each of her classmate.

When all done, it was already 10.30am and I gotto leave, to go back to my office. As soon as 4 of us bid goodbye to her, her eyes became red color, teary.....kesian betul....I've already expected her to cry when we leave her. She must have thought that she may follow us back home after the party. Teacher Nel tried to distract her with other stuff, but she still looked back trying to escape :P In the end, Popo stayed back for a while, coz she sent her car for repair at the nearby car workshop. Don't know what happen after that...

Tonight, she'll get to open all her pressies. Will update more tomorrow.

Party pack preparation

Here's what I have bought for Smellybutt to bring over to her pre-school on her big day =) She'll be Miss Santa, giving out this goody bag to all her classmates.

Party pack ~ RM1.80 for 10pc/pack from a D.I.Y. shop in Kuchai Lama. Bought it when I was at that area for a hair cut.
This is CHEAP!!!! If buy from the mall, it'll easily cost you RM5.60/pack

Within minutes, all done! 20pcs of goodies bag now ready.
But I'll only distribute the cultured milk drink to the kids on the actual day, so the drinks will remain in the fridge first.

After all the hard work....she asked for a pack of potato chips. Ok Ok, you'll be the SIRIM member to test it first!

I've also ordered 30pcs of chocolate cup cakes, freshly baked by my beloved cousin sister, with Barney and Friends theme. I will collect from her this Wednesday. For sure Smellybutt gonna love it!

Counting down now....2 more days to go.... ^_^

Pre Birthday bash

Last Saturday, 2 October 2010, we had a wonderful pre-birthday celebration for 3 Octorian VIPs ~ Smellybutt, Dun Dun and my cousin's son at Sin Choi Wah Restaurant, Manjalara Kepong. Despite to the big crowd on weekend plus 2 wedding banquets on that day, we've managed to get a private room for ourselves (early booking).

My cousin sister went there earlier to decorate the room with some banners on the wall. She also bought plenty of helium balloons for the kids too. Boy, those helium balloons were so expensive! But once a year, never mind lah.

Here's the Baskin Robbins ice cream cake for Smellybutt. I've changed the design, due to budget constraint, coz I wanted to have a full ice cream cake instead of half chocolate cake + half ice cream. This 9" chocolate ice cream cake was sooooo delicious and just nice for 23 pax. There were 3 cakes in total, so after the candle blowing session, we all gasak the ice cream cake first before it melts.

But to cut this ice cream cake, really need full force and skill. After 3 birthday songs and helping Smellybutt to blow off the stubborn sparkling candles, the ice cream cake remained frozen and hard! In the end, the cake was cut into pieces with free size :P

Smellybutt enjoyed herself so much, especially when blowing off the candles. My cousin bought special candles, where it sparkles the moment you lite it. And it was not easy for Smellybutt to blow it off. Better so, since she loves to blow candles so much!

Smellybutt couldn't wait any longer and was bugging me to let her open her pressies. Actually, she knew what was it coz we bought a few presents together with her. My other cousins gave me their budget for their gifts to Smellybutt, and I kao tim myself what to buy for her. They have been cracking their heads when thinking what to buy. So, I let Smellybutt opened 1 present only while we were still in the restaurant.

This is a cash register machine! Very cute and colorful! The moment Smellybutt opened it, her 2 other cousin brothers came to play together. 3 of them sticked to it for a good 15min. Notice the small change and notes? Geng hor! And even got receipt too, from the bear's head. It has a hand held scanner as well. The moment you press on it, there will be a beep sound. And when you press the open button, the cash tray will pop out with a "kaachingg" sound! I had fun playing with it also lah =)

On the very next day, Smellybutt was asking for another present. Again, she also knew what would it be coz we bought it together with the cash register machine.

This is a kitchen set with juice blender, coffee maker and a cake mixer. For the coffee maker, I can play it with water too. But in the end, Smellybut pour water into all the containers!

Stay tuned for the next celebration at her pre-school on the actual day. Also to celebrate with her beloved Baba also lah, coz last Saturday HubB was in overseas for work =(

Drooling over Baskin-Robbins

Ok...I've officially scrapped off the idea of getting jelly birthday cake for Smellybutt this year. Since she loves ice cream a.k.a. ajim so much, why not get her an ice cream cake instead! I bet she'll love it more than the jelly melly :P And Baskin-Robbins birthday cake is the chosen one!

This year celebration will be the same as previous years lah, where Smellybutt and Dun Dun (my dad) will celebrate their birthday together-gether. Both Octoberian's birth date is just 4 days apart only.

Price wise, I can say affordable lah. A jelly birthday cake also will cost more than RM100 what, better get an ice cream cake. A Baskin-Robbins cake for 16-24 serving will only cost about RM172++. We're gonna have 2 celebrities of the month with 1 cake, so worth paying! Here's my pick.

Maybe I'll choose the 2nd design where I can add on a mini tag on each clown with their names on it. 1 clowny represents Dun Dun, another represents Smellybutt. Happy!!! But wait....if I choose the 1st design, I can even tag each cone for all of us - Popo, Dun Dun, Smellybutt, Mami, Baba and Ah Yi!!! Gotto sacrifice kao-fu :( Ok Ok let me ask BR if they can add 1 more cone on top of the cake so that kao-fu will not be left out. I'm sure he'll fly back from Singapore for the 2 Yg Berbahagia's celebration.

I'll start inquiring BR right away!

A jelly cake this year?

Smellybutt will turn 3 year old this coming October. She has grown up so much! From a tiny little 2.3kg newborn baby to an 11kg mak nenek who talks and acts like an adult whole day long. We never get bored with her repeated "stunts" as she continues to fill our house with lots of laughter each day.

So what's up for this year birthday celebration? Got her a set of delicious cake with Barney design from San Ferri last year. This year I'd like to try out the jelly cake. My cousin bought the same for her son's birthday recently and when I showed the picture to Smellybutt, she seemed to like it. But my mom doesn't like this idea, as she feels that there is too much of coloring on the jelly. Looks so "poisonous"!! Hahaha.

I've managed to google some jelly cake seller in Klang Valley, and found these 2 website :

http://jellycakehouse.com/ - price seems to be reasonable. I'll say cheap with presentable design! They have many branches too, so I guess it's not a problem for self pick up. Upon checking with them, their jelly cake is preservative free.

http://www.qjelly.com/ - a bit pricey, but with more design. Also preservative free.

Maybe I will get her a jelly cake for the celebration among family members and close relatives. Then I order some yummy and cute cookies baked by my beloved cousin sister for Smellybutt to bring to her pre school. Cookies are for her class mates and teachers together with a small party pack. Hmm....when I go Bangkok next week, I'll look out for some cheap and cute stuff for the kids, to be included in the party pack.

Now I have to think of the venue to celebrate with family and relatives. This is my biggest annual headache without fail! You know why? Smellybutt doesn't have lots of little cousins, only 2 of them the max. So how am I going to have a birthday party for her? Not even at McD or KFC coz quota tak cukup. They need at least 10 children. If I invite my colleague and their family, then I can meet the quota. But they are all staying in Shah Alam area. To get them come down to KL is kinda mah fan for them I guess. If I put my self in their shoes, I wouldn't want to go so far too. You know lah, weekend is family day....Haai....headache....headache....

Another birthday bash on actual day

Happy 2yr old birthday to my lil Smellybutt!!

We had another birthday celebration for her on the actual day, 7th October 09. We gathered all the pressies which were kept under the bed earlier, and she was so excited with the pressies surrounded her that night.

My mom has ordered a choc mousse cake and it was soooo yummy!

I purposely bought these masks for her to put on, and guess what? She refused! Ended up with me on it, and she gave Barney a big smooch! Hehehe

Time flies...she's already 2yr old now. Blink my eyes again and she'll be 3, then 4 then schooling, then working then get married!! Muahahahahaa!! My mind has wandered way too far...

But my mom always say this to me, "by the time she gets married, maybe I'm no longer here". Each time she says that, even now typing this, I want to cry and hug my mom. She loves Smellybutt very very much. I pray that my mom will have a long healthy life, so that she can witness Smellybutt's marriage...I really hope it happens when the time comes.

Finally..A nice birthday cake for the 2 of them!

I'm glad it was over....with JOY! I had a tough time to make decision which cake to order, which baker to choose from. Then later encountered last minute cancellation from the baker. And finally we get to celebrate Dun Dun and Smellybutt's pre birthday with my close relatives together with this lovely birthday cake!

We had it at Marco Polo Restaurant. Why there? Because we do not have enough of children headcount (min 10 children) to celebrate at Mc Donald, thus we decided to have a dinner at a restaurant instead. Oh btw, we get to watch free dance show by the "Aquas" there too. Hehehehe. Coincidentally, there was a wedding banquet at the hall. That newly wed (and rich) couples have arranged for some live dancing show for their guests. Smellybutt doesn't want to leave the place, she said "want to see cheh cheh dance!".
